By Wendy Donahue, The Chicago Tribune April 2, 2012. "...A new book, "The Science of Relationships" promises some "Answers to Your Questions About Dating, Marriage and Family" (Kendall Hunt) that are drawn from the studies of 15 university researchers nationwide."There isn’t a lot of science behind couples therapy, but there is science behind how couples act," said co-editor and co-author Benjamin Le, a social psychologist at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. "This is building that bridge between researchers and clinicians." More.

                                      _Best Idea Ever
As of Dec. 22, 2011, more than 81,000 people had affirmed the Charter for Compassion as the best idea humanity has ever had. More.

                                      An Excerpt:
"It is also necessary in both public and private life to refrain consistently and empathically from inflicting pain. To act or speak violently out of spite, chauvinism, or self-interest, to impoverish, exploit or deny basic rights to anybody, and to incite hatred by denigrating others—even our enemies—is a denial of our common humanity. We acknowledge that we have failed to live compassionately and that some have even increased the sum of human misery in the name of religion."
