                                      About Mindful Things

Mindful Things is an institute for knowledge translation or knowledge transfer, meaning simply moving knowledge from early stages such as a concept phase or an experimental environment into the external world. It is a complicated process that practitioners - meaning all of us - and researchers are trying hard to understand. This institute is our contribution. We'll be looking closely at knowledge, from its formation to its integration into society, whether that be through journalism products, art, fiction, film. We will also be generating new knowledge, through activities such as original research, workshops and online discussions. We will use whatever tools we have to build the connections that I believe are the bedrock of knowledge translation. I mean connections not just between one idea and another, or one research finding and another, but between each of us.
